Background

Kim Peifley received a B.S in General Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Hood College, Frederick MD. Kim is in charge of confocal microscopy training, troubleshooting and maintenance. She also develops the tutorials that are available for each microscope. While at BD Biosciences, Kim was responsible for maintaining cell culture lines and producing immunostained plates to be used to demonstrate the BD Pathway 880 and 435 Bioimaging Systems. As a research associate at the American Red Cross Holland Laboratory focused on molecular biology studies of fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 1 and FGF 2.
