The Microscopy Core provides state-of-the-art equipment, advice and training to researchers in the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology (LCMB), although other researchers are welcome to use the instruments if time is available. The facility staff has particular expertise in live cell imaging and single molecule localization microscopy (SMLM) including both photoactivation localization microscopy (PALM) and Direct Stochastic Optical Resolution Microscopy (dSTORM).

Expertise

Standard confocal microscopy, live cell imaging, total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF), single molecule localization microscopy. We also have hardware and software for Virtual Reality displays of microscopic data.
