Core Mission
The Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics (LCBG) Microscopy Core provides state-of-the-art microscopy and training to LCBG investigators, as well as scientists from other laboratories in the CCR. The mission of the LCBG Microscopy Core is to support high quality clinical and translational research in cancer biology by training investigators in the field of confocal and light microscopy. The Core is open to all CCR intramural researchers, although LCBG scientists have priority use of equipment. Core staff provides individual training for all new users, and can consult with experimental design, specimen preparation and staining, image acquisition using the appropriate equipment, and image analysis. The goal is to provides state-of-the-art equipment, materials, and expertise to investigators in the CCR to help advance their cancer research.
